💳How To Deposit Crypto Into An External Wallet

Binance Smart Chain Edition

Information

In order to access applications on a blockchain the user has to withdraw their tokens from the centralised exchange they used to buy them into an external wallet.

In this guide we will be focusing on Binance as the exchange of choice, mostly because it is the only exchange that allows BEP20 withdrawals for the majority of the tokens listed on it; and the tokens on Binance Smart Chain are BEP20.

Step-by-Step Guide

In this guide we will show you only how to deposit crypto into an external wallet, assuming you already created an account on Binance and bought some tokens using the payment method preferred.

If you haven't, kindly check out Binance's guide: How to Buy Cryptocurrency

Binance's guide will show you how to buy Bitcoin, but we recommend buying BNB instead of Bitcoin, especially since you're looking to withdraw your tokens to your external wallet on Binance Smart Chain, where BNB is used for blockchain fees.

Simply choose BNB from the list when you're buying your crypto, is that easy.

From the tabs below pick the tab that matches your device.

1) Hover your mouse over the "Wallet" tab on the top menu and then click on "Fiat and Spot"

2) Input the name of the token you want to withdraw in the search bar or simply click the "withdraw" button of the said token in the list

3) Fill the boxes with the info requested

  • Make sure you're copying the BEP20 address from your wallet, otherwise you'll be sending your tokens to another blockchain instead of Binance Smart Chain.

  • Make sure you're picking the correct blockchain from the "Transfer Network" list, in our case it being "Binance Smart Chain (BSC)".

4) Complete the 2-Step-Authentification by inputting the secret codes sent to your e-mail and phone number

5) That's all, you now withdrew your tokens into your external wallet!
